Rules for filling our Skips

Our Skips can be filled with garden scraps like grass or wood, any paper, plastic or glass, building rubble including metals, broken tools and machinery are always welcome.

Things we do not want in our skips are, asbestos, old tires, old oils, old fuels, any flammable liquids or gases, illegal metals and plants, any firearms and ammunitions.

Our Skips have a fill load level, when the level is exceeded an extra fee may be charged.

Our Skips have a weight capacity of 3Ton. If the weight is exceeded a second Skip will be booked to share the weight.

Tucana Skips is hard at work helping to keep our country clean. Cleaning up trash and disposing of it responsibly will save our planet. Litter is one of the big reasons our planet is dying. With everyone’s help we do our best to make a difference.

Please do not dump illegally, do not leave waste outside on the sidewalks and do not waste your time and money looking for a reputable dumping site. We already have all the connections, equipment and know how to take care of your garbage.

Our Skips are dropped, for you to fill, at your premises. The benefit of using small skips in complexes and residential areas is that our vehicle is light enough and will not damage paving.  It is small enough to squeeze into tight places.

We also service building sites, as we know there is a lot of rubble and trash that gets generated on these types of sites. Our employees have experience and are trained to dispose of many building materials like metal sheeting, wall sheeting, tiles, and more.  Asbestos is a material that we cannot dispose of as we are not qualified to handle it.

We help with recycling by dumping legally, where materials are sorted as we offload. We also look for things that can be fixed and reused and that gets sent to loving homes in need. A clean environment affects the quality of our food we eat and air we breath and ultimately our body's health.

We are always open to new opportunities.  If you have a job where the trash needs to be taken care of, we will be there to help.

There is so much to gain by taking garbage and junk removal more seriously. You can do your part by using us for your junk removals to free up space in your yards and see all recyclable materials handled properly.

Tucana Skips trailer is SABS approved and comply with CE European standards. Our lifting chains are checked regularly, they are also certified to LEEASA and Department of Labour standards.
